Roscommon rehab unit delays 'unacceptable', says local Senator

The Government committed to the unit in 2011 after Roscommon Hospital's A&E closed.

A local Senator says the delay in constructing a new rehab unit at Roscommon University Hospital is unacceptable. The Government committed to the unit in 2011 after Roscommon Hospital's A&E closed and funding was approved four years later.

But it remains only at design stage and there is no clarity on when construction will start at the site, beside Roscommon Hospital. Speaking in the Seanad today, Senator Eugene Murphy requested that the Taoiseach's office is contacted about the issue:
