A Roscommon restaurant owner who last week vowed to reopen his business for indoor dining this week has stepped back from his plans.
Following consultations with the Restaurant Association of Ireland, owner of the Old Stone House Restaurant in Ballinlough, Ray O'Connor did not allow customers to dine inside the property.
The Roscommon Business instead erected a heated marquee for dinners.
Work is ongoing to table legislation on allowing vaccinated people to eat inside restaurants, with Cabinet planning to discuss proposals for indoor dining's return on Tuesday.
