A County Roscommon school have had their planning application for a major lighting project upheld by An Bord Pleanála.
Tarmon National School near Castlerea had applied to Roscommon County Council for the installation of floodlights to existing astro-turf pitch and lighting to illuminate existing running track, walkway and car-park.
That permission was subseqently granted by Roscommon County planners in early 2021.

Following the grant of permission, an appeal was lodged to An Bord Pleanála over the project.
The higher planning body has decided to uphold the permission granted to the school's board of management with 4 conditions attached.
