A Roscommon Senator says he is confident that a row over turf will be resolved to the satisfaction of many rural householders who use the fuel.
The Environment Minister insists a ban on the sale of turf will come into effect on September 1st, despite strong opposition from rural Ireland.
However Eamon Ryan says the exact conditions of the ban are yet to be established.

The Minister says the burning of turf's causing serious health issues in certain areas of the country.
