The service is being implemented at the former Rosalie Unit in Castlerea

Over 1.4 million euro is being allocated to fully operate the e-Mental hub in Castlerea this year.

Senator Eugene Murphy has received confirmation from Minister for Older People Mary Butler that the allocation will allow for 14 staff positions at the centre.

In 2020, approximately €400,000 was allocated for the refurbishment of the former Rosalie unit, and €400,000 for staffing to establish the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Connect service.

The centre will also deliver a day care service for Psychiatry of Later Life clients.

Senator Murphy says the release of the funding is imminent, despite claims to the contrary by some politicians.
