Western Gaels have maintained their perfect start to the Hodson Bay Hotel Roscommon Senior Football Championship following a comfortable second round win over Fuerty.
Fergal O’Donnell’s side are now top of group B after winning by 18 points to ten, making it two wins from as many games.
Fuerty trailed by nine points to five at the break before later reducing the gap to two points with five minutes remaining.
The Gaels then kicked six unanswered scores putting daylight between the sides.
Elsewhere, the reigning champions Padraig Pearses remain unbeaten with three points from a possible four.
Pearses followed up their opening round draw with Boyle with a three-point victory over Michael Glaveys winning by 14 points to 1-8.
Pat Flanagan’s side were in control at half-time leading by ten points to four before a penalty goal by Gary Patterson halved the deficit in the 47th minute.
The teams then traded two points each leaving a goal between them at the final whistle which eventually came following an extended period of injury time.
