Claire Kerrane is now tabling an amendment to as Social Welfare Act to change the rules regarding the payment of Disability Allowance after death

She appealed to Minister Heather Humphreys to change the rules urgently:

"Really, what it comes down to, is what is the difference between a 15-year-old with a disability and a 17-year-old with a disability when they pass away. Why they should be treated differently based on age. This is wrong and it has been highlighted and it needs to be fixed."
