Roscommon County Council has been allocated over €130,000 euro to continue with its conservation programme in Roscommon town.
It's been successful through the Heritage Council's Historic Towns Initiative, which aims to enhance the approach streets to the historic town centre.
The local authority has already completed restoration and enhancement works on a number of properties on Church street.
The latest approval of €136,000 euro, which is being welcomed by Senator Eugene Murphy, will allow conservation works to be carried out on a number of historic buildings in Castle Street, Abbey Street Upper and Goff Street.
