Roscommon's community vaccination centre will close its doors today after delivering over 52,000 vaccines in the last year.
GPs and Pharmacies are still available to administer the jabs, including second and booster doses.
Local TD Denis Naughten had previously called for the closure to be delayed branding the decision as premature.
However, according to the Saolta group the decision was made due to a majority of the population being vaccinated and the lease on the current location expiring soon.
The facility has been located on the Golf Links Road in Roscommon Town since December, with previous locations including the Kilbride Community Centre and The Abbey Hotel in the town.
