Roscommon vaccination centre to be moved to new location

The mass vaccination centre in Roscommon will move to a new location next week.

The final day of vaccinations in the Abbey Hotel will be on Tuesday next 17 August and the clinics will commence in Kilbride Community centre on Friday 20th August.

Since the first vaccination clinic in the Abbey Hotel in March over 31,000 vaccines have been delivered from the from that centre.

It and all other centres will begin the administering of vaccines to children from 12 to 16 this weekend, through pre-booked appointments.

Frank Harburn, Saolta General Manager for the rollout of the vaccination programme in the West and North West says it will be a smooth transition.
