Roscommon Windows has scooped the top prize at the inaugural Roscommon Leader Partnership awards.
Donal Haughey set up the business in 2012 and was awarded first place in the self-employed category at a special awards ceremony in Kilbride last week.
The Athleague native was in the construction sector but saw a niche in the market for supplying and fitting windows and doors products.
He says it was a daunting experience at first but has since gone from strength to strength.
"Back in 2012, we were in the middle of the last recession. We have a total of 9 employed here at the moment which is a long way from October 2012 but it just goes to show how the business has developed over the years and where we've got to at this stage".
