A Roscommon woman is encouraging the public to donate blood at pop-up clinics in the region.
Earlier this week Margaret Treacy gave her 50th donation at a clinic in Dr. Hyde Park.
Anyone wishing to give blood can attend Joseph's Hall in Boyle this Sunday, February 12th between 12 noon and 3:30.
The Irish Blood Transfusion service say those wishing to register their interest can visit giveblood.ie.
Speaking to Shannonside FM news Margaret says the process is simple and it's a great feeling to know you've helped another person.
''They do notify you afterwards, say within a month, letting you know where your blood is actually gone and I think that is lovely, to find out it's encouraging you think to yourself I'm after saving someone you know it's gone to hospital it's definitely worth it, be in good form if your going to these clinics.''
