Women in Roscommon and Westmeath are being encouraged to consider a more active role in politics.
The SHE, See Her Elected, school is running a free online course next Wednesday and the following week for anyone who wants to start to build up a bit of knowledge about what politics is and how politics works.
The classes will run twice in a bid to fit into day-to-day life with a morning option from 10-11.30am and an evening option from 7.30-9p.m.
The modules will cover the basics of how politics and local government works and the various options available for women on committees, in elected roles or on campaigns.
