A historic home and former convent in west Roscommon has gone on the market.
Loughglynn house was originally built in the 1700's by Richard Dillon but was later acquired by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary and run as a convent school.
From 1973 the building operated as a Nursing Home until it closed in 2003.
The complex is now for sale with a price tag of 850,000 euro, it comprises of Dillon House, Strickland House & Courtyard, a Chapel, Cottage and Farm Buildings.
Also included in the sale which is being handled by Callaghan Auctioneers is over 19 acres including Gardens & Woodlands.
Planning permission for a luxury hotel was previously granted to a development company by Roscommon County Council however those were subsequently scrapped.
