A family owned Roscommon jewellers has closed its doors for the final time in recent days, after over a century of trading in the town.
MJ Farrell's ceased trading on Saturday, after being involved in the happy occasions of local people for more then 115 years.
The Church Street based business has been operated by five generations of the Farrell clan.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, owner Aidan Farrell paid tribute to the touching send-off given to them by their neighbouring businesses.
And he said they're very proud of all they have achieved, but a decision had to be made.
