It's expected that the route selection report, for a major upgrade of the N4 in County Leitrim will be ready by the end of November.
Hundreds of submissions were made earlier this year as part of the public consultation process on a variety of routes affecting Carrick on Shannon and surrounding townlands.
It's understood that over 500 submissions were made to consultancy firm Arup, and these will be published in an anonymised form, as part of the Route Selection report, which is currently being prepared.

Elsewhere it is also understood that an update on the N4 Mullingar Rooskey road upgrade and possible route options will be expected in the coming weeks.
