The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was fatally injured.

The 17-year-old boy was killed in the single-car collision on the R319 at Keel in Achill shortly before 1 o'clock this morning.

The road is currently closed for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.

No injuries have yet been confirmed.
