A local elections candidate has raised safety concerns around ongoing works on the N5 bypass project in Co Roscommon. Fianna Fáil candidate Sean Moylan says increased construction traffic poses a significant problem for local residents in the area. The Government signed off on the €450 million N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project last year and it's expected to take four years to complete.
Mr Moylan says a number of people have raised the issue with him in the run up to June's local elections. Speaking to Shannonside News, the Fianna Fáil candidate says he has made contact with contractors and Transport Infrastructure Ireland:
