Large safety signage will be erected on the approach road to Carrigallen this Summer.
The issue was raised by Councillor Paddy O'Rourke who says the absence of adequate signage is leading to some motorists assuming they have right of way across the junction towards Longford.
The Fianna Fail representative believes it's a potential danger to road users with some motorists travelling at speed into the junction.
