Sitting councillors Sean McGowan (Fianna Fáil), Enda Stenson (Independent) and Des Guckian (Independent) are set to retain their seats in the Carrick-on-Shannon local electoral area, according to final tallies.
McGowan, who has been a councillor for 33 years, has 792 votes.
Whereas, McGowan is followed by Independent Enda Stenson, on 758 first-preference votes.
Fine Gael first-time candidate Maeve Reynolds, who is 34 years old, is next on 747 votes.
Independent councillor Des Guckian has 743. Fianna Fáil councillor Paddy Farrell looks relatively safe, on 689.
The last seat looks like a battle between Sinn Fein's Cormac Flynn, on 534, and Fianna Fáil's Stephen King on 515.
