Senator Dolan ran unsuccessfully in the recent general election, but she's confident she can continue her career in the Seanad.

The Drumlish man says he made the decision due to the number of concerns raised during General Election canvassing in Longford-Westmeath.

Senator Micheál Carrigy told the Seanad children shouldn't have to leave the county to access a school place.

The school received the go ahead to construct a larger school building with three additional classrooms in September of 2023.

The incident was raised in the Seanad by Fine Gael Senator Barry Ward.
