A second person has died and a man has been arrested following a hit and run in Dublin yesterday.
It happened on the Blanchardstown Road North shortly before 6pm last evening.
A man in his 40s, who was seriously injured in the hit and run, has since passed away.
He's the second person to die, after a woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 40s was arrested yesterday evening, and is in custody at a Garda Station in Dublin.
He can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí have completed a technical examination of the scene and the road has re-opened.
Investigators are continuing to appeal for information or video footage related to the crash.
