A security company that attended a house repossession in Co Roscommon has been ordered to pay fines of 3,000 euro.

Armagh firm GS Agencies was found guilty at Castlerea District Court of six breaches of the Private Security Services Act.

The prosecution by the Private Security Authority followed the provision of an unlicensed security guard service at the house in Strokestown in December 2018.

Judge Deirdre Gearty fined the company 500 euro for each offence - she also awarded costs of 7,500 euro against the company.
