Senator Eugene Murphy is expecting to find out in the next 48 hours if he'll be running for Fianna Fáil in the general election. He's hoping the party will add him to the ticket in Roscommon-Galway, so he can run alongside Ballygar GP Martin Daly.
The Scramogue man has held talks with the party's constituencies committee, who'll make the decision. Senator Murphy says he was canvassing at the weekend - even though he's still not a candidate:
