Micheál Carrigy says that prosecution of those who don't pay the licence is the last thing the Government want.

A plan for the future funding of RTE will be known after a Cabinet meeting next week.

It was confirmed by RTÉ Director General, Kevin Bakhurst that the national broadcaster received €20m in Government funding to make up a shortfall in TV licence revenue.
