One of the most senior gardai in the Shannonside Northern Sound region is urging residents not to hold house parties which have led to significant outbreaks of Covid 19.
Chief Superintendent of Sligo Leitrim Aiden Glacken says there has been an increase in house parties and in specific cases this has led to significant out-breaks in the northwest which he says is putting the region, society and economy at further risk of a lockdown.

Chief Superintendent Glacken says people need to avoid any sense of complacency or irresponsibility with the potential to face a second wave of infection in the region.
