Several schools across the Shannonside region will be closed again tomorrow (Thursday) because of the bad weather.
A new status orange low temperature and ice warning is in place until 11 o'clock tomorrow morning, for Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
Numerous schools will not open again tomorrow, including St Mel's College, Longford; Abbey College in Boyle; Mohill Community College; Gaelscoil Liatroma in Carrick-on-Shannon; Lisacul National School, near Ballaghaderreen; St Anne's National School, Castlerea; Meán Scoil Mhuire Longford; Carrigallen Vocational School; Drumshanbo Vocational School; Lenamore National School, Legan, Co Longford; St Mel's National School, Ardagh, Co Longford; St Dominic's National School, Kenagh, Co Longford; Castlerea Community School; Tarmon National School, Castlerea; St Michael's, Castlerea; Carrick-on-Shannon Community School; St Attracta's National School, Ballaghaderreen; Ballinamore Community School; St Nathy's College, Ballaghaderreen; Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown; St Paul's National School, Castlerea; Ballymahon Vocational School; St Matthew's National School, Ballymahon; Cloontuskert National School, near Lanesboro; Ballyleague National School; St Teresa's National School, Killoe, Co Longford; Moyne Community School, Co Longford; Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard, Co Longford; Fermoyle National School, Lanesboro; Lanesborough Primary School.
Meanwhile, Annaduff National School in Co Leitrim will open tomorrow at the later time of 10.30am.
Boyle Further Education and Training Centre is closed tomorrow, with classes moved to online.
Some creches are also closed tomorrow, including Frenchpark and Districts Childcare; Breffni Childcare in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Aura Leitrim Leisure in Carrick-on-Shannon will open late tomorrow morning, at 9am, due to the cold snap. Roscommon Leisure Centre has also shortened its opening hours tomorrow - it will be open from 9am to 8pm, with swimming lessons not going ahead.
