Several people from east Galway will be setting off for Ethiopia this weekend to continue their volunteer work in the country.
The 'Building for Children' charity based in the Newbridge area was first established in 2009 and they've worked on refurbishing hospitals, orphanages, and schools for children in developing countries.
The group built a 26 bed dormitory in the grounds of a special needs school for blind children in Sebeta in Ethiopia in 2019.
This year they want to build bathrooms for the dormitories to give the children some sanitary facilities and buy mattresses for the beds.
David Mulrooney says they've already had huge support from the local community in east Galway.
