A Shannonside NorthernSound breast cancer patient is urging people to support charities helping people through their treatment.
Fiona Healy had a double mastectomy after a cancer diagnosis in March 2019 - she is also being treated for cancer in the lymph system.
She says that early diagnosis is really important, and is urging men and women to check themselves frequently and go to a doctor straight away.
Fiona, from Athlone, will undertake a skydive today for Breast Cancer Ireland and is raising funds through go fund me under Skydive for Breast Cancer Ireland.
Speaking ahead of the jump Fiona has admitted she is not looking forward to it.
