Over €330,000 is being allocated for small scale works to libraries in the Shannonside region.
Approximately €110,000 euro is being allocated to each county to improve accessibility for libraries in line with social distancing and Covid 19 regulations.
Over €66,000 will be provided for Ballaghaderreen library to provide for carpet, partitions and furniture.
€44,445 has been awarded to Strokestown library for shelving, perspex, furniture and an occupancy control system.
In Leitrim, six libraries will share the allocation - in Mohill €44,500.00 has been allocated for a new retaining wall and tarmac.
It also includes works at Drumshanbo library, €26,436.25 will go towards the cost of new gutters, painting, and doors.
At Carrick on Shannon and Ballinamore libraries and Manorhamilton, €7,782.50 is being allocated to fund new Perspex.
Over €110,000 will be spend in Longford town library for new windows, automatic doors and new floor coverings.
