Rent prices across the Shannonside region have increased over the last year despite the ongoing pandemic.
That's according to a new rental price report launched by housing website Daft.ie.
Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim have all seen an increase in average rents when compared year on year to 2019.
A focus on remote working due to Covid-19 is one of the factors behind an increase in demand for properties outside of Dublin.
The report claims the Dublin rental market has been the most affected by the collapse in everyday activity, with prices down across the city and county.
Meanwhile, Longford has seen a 4 per cent jump in the cost of rent when compared to 2019, with the average cost at €758 per month.
Roscommon recorded an increase of 3.6 per cent with €745 the average cost of rent in the county.
While €624 is the current average rent in Leitrim, a jump of 2.4 per cent.
Nationally Kerry recorded the highest bump in rental costs, with prices up 10 per cent on last year.
