Over 70 vacant social homes were returned to active use in the Shannonside region in 2022.
The figures have been released by the Department of Housing under the Voids Programme on which helps local authorities bring vacant properties into re-use for housing.
Longford saw the most homes brought back into use at 34 recouping 375,000 euro in funding for stock improvement programmes.
297,000 euro was recovered in Roscommon with 27 brought back as social homes.
A further 13 homes were returned to active use by Leitrim County Council recouping 143,000 euro.
