The 34th Dáil is sitting for the first time today. A total of twelve TDs from the Shannonside region took their seats at Leinster House this morning. First-time TDs Martin Daly of Fianna Fáil and Longford-Westmeath's Micheal Carrigy of Fine Gael are among 12 Shannonside TDs that make up the 34th Dáil.
Ballygar GP Martin Daly took the third seat in the Roscommon-Galway constituency last month and said it was a special day for him and his family. Speaking to Shannonside News, he said he had great support from his party colleagues:
It was also a day of comebacks with Longford-Westmeath Independent Kevin Boxer Moran returning to the Dáil for the first time since 2020. Boxer is back the message from the Athlone man:
