The Shed Distillery and Visitor Experience in Drumshanbo was the most popular tourist attraction in the Shannonside region last year. 50,000 people visited the Co Leitrim facility in 2023, according to Failte Ireland. Lough Key Forest and Activity Park in Boyle was second, with nearly 46,000 visitors.
Glendeer Pet Farm in Drum, Athlone, was third, with 29,000 - marginally ahead of Strokestown Park House and Famine Museum. Manager of the Shed Distillery, Michael Cassidy, is delighted with today's news:
