It follows after a Longford farmer has spoken about how 5 of his sheep were recently killed following a dog attack.

Five sheep were killed and two had to be put down after an incident in the mid-Longford area in recent days.

The statement follows concerns raised at a local authority meeting in February of this year.

The local authority were originally called to the site following reports that the remains of a donkey and pig were found in the stream.

The meeting will take place in the bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on Tuesday the 21st from 8pm.

Hundreds took part in today's IFA Protest in Roscommon town

The demonstration will take place at Roscommon Mart and will highlight what farmers call a growing crisis in the sector.
