A Roscommon GP is highlighting a significant decrease in Covid-19 referrals to her practice over the last 10 days.
Dr Madeleine Ni Dhalaigh, a GP in Castlerea, says she's noticed a hopeful trend in the last week, with fewer calls from patients with Covid-19 symptoms and fewer positive test results.
She says this is resulting in a marked decrease in the number of people she is referring for Coronavirus tests or to hospital.
Nationally, there are currently 1,897 patients receiving treatment in public hospitals for the virus.
