The Shannonside region has seen significant power restoration over the last 24 hours with over 3,500 homes and businesses restored. 1,600 properties remain in the dark this morning two weeks on from the red weather warning of Storm Eowyn.
Leitrim and Roscommon remain the worst hit regions in the country today with 1,500 homes, farms and businesses still without power. Both counties saw significant restoration efforts yesterday with ESB and international repair crews deployed across the region.
Leitrim is still reporting over 800 properties out of power on day 15 post storm. There are over 200 homes out in the wider Carrigallen area, 110 in Drumsna, and 100 in Drumshanbo.
Roscommon's outages have now fallen to 700, with 130 out around Frenchpark, over a hundred in Boyle and 70 in Ballinlough. Longford meanwhile is close to full restoration with 130 homes farms, and businesses still out of power as of this morning.
The main outages in Longord are in the Lansboro region and in North Longford around Moyne. According to ESB Ireland, while the majority of properties will be restored by the weekend, a number of customers may have to wait until early next week.
