An additional 350 people were receiving unemployment assistance in the Shannonside region in July compared to June.
Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon all recorded significant jumps in their Live Register figures for last month.
Over 6,000 people are now unemployed in the Shannonside region and receiving assistance from the Department of Social Protection according to new figures from the CSO.
Leitrim's unemployment total increased again last month - rising by 115 from 1,567 in June to 1,682.
Year on year, it represents a rise of 174 compared to figures for July of last year.
In Longford, a rise of 85 additional people was recorded in its Live Register total for July -
up from 2,188 to 2,273. However, it's just an increase of 18 people year on year
Roscommon saw its unemployment total as per the live register rise by 150 in a single month - the largest local rise last month.
The total number of people on the live register in the county is now 2,215 - 331 higher than it was in the same month in July.
