Two online public meetings are being held tonight to try and prevent the closure of Bank of Ireland branches in Roscommon and Leitrim.
Earlier this month the bank confirmed it was intending to shut the doors on branches in Strokestown and Elphin as well as Manorhamilton and Drumshanbo.
The meetings are being hosted by local Sinn Fein TDs Claire Kerrane and Martin Kenny as well as local councillors and are being held via zoom from 8pm.
Deputy Kenny says the decision has been made based on low footfall in branches during a prolonged period of restrictions.
