Commuters in south Roscommon feel abandoned by the National Transport Authority and central Government.
That's the view of Sinn Féin representative Sam Brooks, who says people in the area are crying out for public transport.
A well-publicised NTA report last year found there was no State obligation to replace an Aircoach sevice between Athlone and Ballinasloe.
Brooks, who narrowly missed out in recent local elections in Athlone, says people in the area have become disillusioned.
