Figures released today from the Standards in Public Office show that four of our local politicians from the party declared the donations in 2022.

S.I.P.O says there was no prima facie evidence to support any suggestion that there was a conflict of interest relating to the deputies public statements.

One of the duties of SIPO is to ensure the transparency of the lobbying of public officials.

The omission relates to over 2,000 euro.

The move to request a Dail statement was agreed by party whips from Sinn Fein, Labour, Social Democrats, People Before Profit/Solidarity, Rural and Independent groups.

It comes after a complaint to SIPO that the Minister had failed to declare all necessary details on an electon statement in 2016

Eamonn Ryan has called for an investigation.
