Fianna Fáil Councillor in Sligo, Edel McSharry says she wasn't consulted on the decision to add Eamon Scanlon to the general election ticket.
The former TD and Senator was added this past week to run alongside McSharry in a two-candidate strategy in Sligo-Leitrim.
Fianna Fáil are looking to regain a seat in the constituency as outgoing TD Marc McSharry left the party in 2022.
Whilst she wasn't consulted on the decision, Cllr Edel McSharry welcomed Scanlon's addition to the ticket:
