The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is the third busiest facility in the country today. According to the latest INMO figures, there are 55 people currently waiting in the ED in Sligo, with 33 of those on trolleys and 22 wafting elsewhere in the hospital. Mullingar regional Hospital has 14 patients in its Emergency Department today, while 28 are waiting in UHG in Galway.
Nationally, University Hospital Limerick is the busiest facility in the country with a total of 87 people waiting for a bed, followed by Cork University Hospital ED with 58 patients. Overall, there are 559 people waiting for a hospital bed across the country today.
