30 patients are waiting on trolleys while the other 20 are waiting in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
Figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation last week have shown the level of patients waiting on trolleys in 2023 had already passed the full total for last year.
Nationally, 524 patients are waiting for a hospital bed today, with 105 people waiting in the Limerick University Hospital ED.
