The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is under severe pressure today according to the INMO.
Figures from the Union show 44 patients waiting on trolleys or elsewhere in the hospital for a bed.
Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is also facing major overcrowding issues today, with 24 people waiting on site for admittance.
Elsewhere in the region, there are 7 patients on trolleys in Mullingar and 34 in UHG.
Nationally, University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected facility today with 105 people on trolleys.
The INMO has called on the Government to develop a year-round plan to tackle the overcrowding crisis.
