Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny has denied claims the Oireachtas was misled about former Senator Niall O'Donnghaile controversy. The Sligo-Leitrim TD added he had full confidence in leader Mary Lou McDonald as well as Sinn Féin's disciplinary process. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, he said making the information publicly known wouldn't have helped matters at the time:
