A local TD has paid tribute to former Minister Michael Ring who has announced his decision not to contest the next General Election. Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan says Deputy Ring has had a massive impact on the west and northwest. He said the former Rural and Community Development Minister delivered substantial funding to counties in the Shannonside region.
Deputy Feighan said he was delighted to call the Mayo TD a 'great friend and great colleague'. Speaking to Shannonside News, the Sligo-Leitrim TD said Deputy Ring is known across the country for his hard work:
