The Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar is extremely busy with 19 patients waiting for a bed. There are ten patients waiting in the emergency department at Cavan General Hospital and 14 at our Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda. There are two patients waiting in Navan and just one in Portiuncula University Hospital.
The worst affected hospital in the country is University Hospital Limerick, where there are 111 people waiting for a bed. That's followed by Cork University Hospital with 55.
Nationally, there are 501 patients currently waiting for a bed.
