The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is once again extremely busy today with patients warned to expect delays. 45 people are waiting for a bed at the North West facility today, close to 30 of them on trolleys with the rest waiting elsewhere in the Hospital. Eight people are waiting in Portiuncula in Ballinasloe while three are on trolleys in Mullingar Hospital.
Further west, University Hospital Galway is dealing with 47 people waiting in their ED today. The INMO's Trolleywatch figures show 292 patients were waiting in emergency departments this morning, while 127 are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals. University Hospital Limerick is again the busiest in the country with 83 people waiting today.
