There has been a slight drop in the number of people being treated for Covid-19 in hospitals across the Shannonside Northern Sound region in the last week.
New data released by the HSE also show one hospital recorded a small rise in the number of people in ICU with the virus since last Monday.
The number of Covid-positive patients in Irish hospitals has gone above 500 for the first time since March 1st.
513 people with the virus are receiving treatment - an 8 percent increase on last Tuesday.
The latest figures show there are 99 people with Covid-19 in ICUs.
Locally, 114 people are in local hospitals in the region being treated for Covid 19- down from 125 on Monday of last week.
The largest decrease in Covid positive patients was at the Midlands regional hospital in Mullingar where eight fewer people were treated for Covid on Monday compared to last week.
This compared to a rise of two additional admissions in Tullamore, Portiuncula and Sligo hospitals.
The numbers in ICU are relatively unchanged since last week- with Tullamore hospital showing a rise of two people - and with special care units in all other hospitals unchanged.
It means 20 people are in ICU at present in local hospitals- including six at Galway University Hospital , four at Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda and three in Tullamore and Mullingar.
